Join our team – Diversity Manager role

We are looking for an HR professional who is passionate about equity in the workplace and wants to be part of growing more inclusive workplaces of all sizes, all around New Zealand. Reporting to our Head of Membership Services, you will be part of a small team of diversity and inclusion experts. Your experience working in change management and organisational design will allow you to support New Zealand’s organisations on their diversity and inclusion journey. You will deliver practical advice and solutions for our members looking to undertake workplace initiatives across all diversity dimensions. You will work with our members to determine their needs and tailor services to help them achieve best practice in their organisations. You will be responsible for:

  • Engaging positively with members via education and consulting, as part of a centre of excellence for all matters relating to diversity and inclusion
  • Assessing member needs and promoting best practice across all diversity dimensions
  • Delivering value and services to members, including our Diversity and Inclusion Stocktake and Diagnostic tools, strategy development, facilitation of education programmes and ad hoc advice
  • Developing tools and content in partnership with expert research organisations
  • Building relationships and working alongside members over a sustained period

About you:

  • You will be an expert in communicating effectively at all levels of an organisation (both in writing and verbally)
  • You will be an active listener who can see patterns and deliver insights in a positive way
  • You will work happily in a small, committed team and have the energy to roll your sleeves up to deliver the best for our members
  • You will be flexible, open to ideas and be optimistic in promoting the opportunity for progress
  • You will be extremely technically literate (CRM, presentation software and online learning tools, XL, word templates) and comfortable adhering to systems and processes
  • You will be looking to stand up and contribute at the forefront of diversity and inclusion in New Zealand.
