New Zealand Chinese Language Week (NZCLW) is a Kiwi-driven initiative launched in 2014 to increase Chinese language learning in New Zealand.
The first of its kind in any Western country, NZCLW seeks to bridge the cultural and linguistic knowledge gap between China and New Zealand by delivering fun and practical initiatives that assist Kiwis to learn Chinese.
This year, NZCLW runs from 25 September to 1 October and there are lots of great ways to get your workplace involved – the website has posters and brochures you can distribute and great Chinese language resources aimed at beginners, intermediate and advanced learners.
It also lists events around the country –National Dumpling Day on Monday, 26 September, could be a great way to bring your team together. Singapore-born Connie Clarkson, one of Auckland’s best known foodies, shares her family’s wonton-soup recipe on the website.
