Despite this, 84 per cent of people leaders report they don’t know how to handle an employee disclosure of wellbeing issues.

Diversity Works New Zealand is partnering with Dr Louise Cowpertwait, Founder and CEO of MindMatters Clinic, to deliver a new online workshop, Mastering Mental Health Conversations.

A consultant clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist, Louise understands that taking a clinically informed approach to mental health and wellbeing can help workplaces achieve a return on investment of $5.30 for every dollar spent.

With changing health and safety legislation and record Employment Relations Authority penalties for organisations that fail to keep their people safe, it’s important to cut through the fluff and provide credible, best-practice advice and support to deliver the solutions people leaders need, Louise says.

“This ensures that your precious wellbeing resources are targeted where they will have the most impact for employees and the business.”

Diversity Works New Zealand Head of Capability Sarah Macdonald says it’s fantastic to be able to partner with Louise to offer this learning. “Our research shows that mental health and wellbeing continues to be one of the biggest inclusion issues in workplaces and we know there is a real need to equip leaders to support their people. We are delighted to be able to work with one of New Zealand’s leading clinical experts on this kaupapa.”

Timed to coincide with Mental Health Awareness Week, the first workshop will be held online on Wednesday, 25 September. Book your place now.
