International Women's Day will be celebrated around the world next Friday, March 8.
The theme of this year’s event is #BalanceforBetter - a call-to-action to drive gender balance across the world. The International Women’s Day website has some great ideas on how you can champion this campaign in your organisation.
It also has some fantastic resources – download and co-brand selfie cards to show your organisation’s support via social media. This is a great way to get your whole team involved.
There are posters you can use for a team event – hand out post it notes and encourage your colleagues to declare what action they'll take to help build a more gender-balanced world.
There are many events being held around New Zealand to celebrate this special day, including a breakfast at Parliament which will be live screened. Check some of them out on the local UN Women website or the Global Women events page.
