Are you maximising the business benefits of New Zealand’s diverse workforce? We are partnering with the New Zealand Chambers of Commerce to bring diversity and inclusion education to Tauranga.
Bev Cassidy-Mackenzie, chief executive of DWNZ, will provide an overview of the benefits of leveraging diversity in the workplace and how to address issues that may arise in a rapidly evolving labour market. She will also share strategies to help you mitigate unconscious bias in your workplace that might be throwing up barriers in your diversity journey.
Selwyn Cook, former owner of SSC Service Stations, will also be at this session to share how he worked with organisations such as Workbridge, Enrich+, the Blind Foundation and Idea Services to recruit a diverse workforce at the various Shell and Z petrol stations the company held franchises for. These initiatives offered opportunities to many jobseekers who may have otherwise been overlooked for employment. Selwyn is now a National Employer Ambassador for Workbridge.
