e-Diversity launches with unconscious bias training modules
Employers throughout New Zealand can now offer -class unconscious bias training to their people via e-Diversity, our newly-launched online learning platform.
The web-based solution has been developed by Diversity Works New Zealand in partnership with online training provider Skillpod.
Diversity Works New Zealand Chief Executive Rachel Hopkins says the new platform will allow organisations to roll out unconscious bias training for all employees.
“These modules complement the face-to-face workshops and customised training we currently offer to people leaders, HR and diversity and inclusion professionals. The online solution allows us to deliver the same research-based information and practical advice to everyone in the organisation,” she says.
“It’s also a great resource for organisations outside our city centres or those who have some of their team working regionally. It offers an affordable staff development solution for organisations from Kaitaia to Invercargill, whatever their size.”
Unconscious bias is Diversity Works New Zealand’s most-requested training topic, as organisations focus on mitigating the impact it has on people and performance.
“Bias prevents us from making objective decisions and can impact every facet of a business, from recruiting staff, to leadership effectiveness, communication, decision making and workplace interactions,” Rachel says.
The engaging e-learning content, which has been verified and peer reviewed by subject matter experts and practitioners, will give businesses the foundations and tools needed to become a more inclusive and high-performing organisation.
The e-Diversity platform will be expanded in the coming months to include more training modules covering topics such as an introduction to diversity and inclusion, preventing bullying and harassment, improving cultural intelligence and inclusive leadership.
