Ensuring organisational change did not negatively impact diversity and inclusion within its organisation was a catalyst for Vodafone New Zealand to reach out to Diversity Works New Zealand for advice.
Diversity and inclusion lead Kirstin Te Wao says Vodafone had gone through organisational change and research showed there was a risk this could have negative impacts. “We wanted to make sure that didn’t happen.”
Working with Diversity Works New Zealand’s Dr Guillermo Merelo, Vodafone was able to look at what impact the transition had on the business.
“The third iteration of our diversity and inclusion strategy is an outcome of our work together.”
Vodafone also completed the Diversity and Inclusion Stocktake.
“One of the benefits of working with Diversity Works New Zealand is it allows Vodafone to benchmark the organisation against other New Zealand businesses to understand where we are at on that journey.”
Kirstin says there is always more to learn and part of that is tapping into Diversity Works New Zealand’s networks.
